Bringing In The Crops

We're in the midst of our summer harvest ... We planted zucchini, squash, peppers, tomatoes and two types of cucumber. So far we've picked this one light yellow squash, the 2 zucchinis you see and all of those jalapeno peppers ... someone gave us that other squash and the light green peppers you see. We have about 10 tomatoes that we're hoping will get bigger, and a couple of cucumbers that are coming on strong. We've planted vegetables over the eight years we've lived here, but they really haven't produced anything to shout about, so we're pretty excited about what we're getting this year.

Glad to see your garden is doing well. I hope my garden will produce something shortly. You're my inspiration for my first garden. My husband was in shock when I ventured into this task.

Yum! Looks like a great salad...
We've had some delicious kitchen sink tomato sandwiches from our home grown maters.

We have truly harvested a good crop of jalopeno peppers. The king is the only one who eats them.. We have no luck with squash but we're going to try again late summer! I picked our first cucumber today though! It looks good and the king gets to eat it since the queen enjoyed the only acceptable zucchini that grew..!

Wow your garden is doing well. Our garden is growing but nothing is ready to be harvested yet. The rule here is not to plant your garden until after Memorial Day because we often get below 30 degree weather in May. Aramie's peas are looking good but not quite ready to be picked.
I remember one year sitting at one of Dustin's baseball games in June and it started snowing!!!

Right on! None of our plants are ready to harvest yet, except for a handful of peas. There probably aren't even enough for one serving. We have one itty bitty zucchini that is probably 3 inches long growing, and I watch it every day to see how fast it is growing.
